India is the birthplace of many great religions including Buddhism. After abandoning his kingdom, prince Siddhartha traveled extensively in the Gangetic plains region in search for the truth. He finally attained the enlightenment under a Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya and became the Buddha- the awakened one. Thereafter, he traveled extensively for next 45 years, preaching and delivering sermons at various destinations of north India. Every year, thousands of Buddhist pilgrims visit these holy sites in India and Nepal and rewarded with a unique peace of mind and soul.

Day 01 : Delhi
Arrive at Delhi. Afternoon city tour of Delhi visiting Qutab Minar, India Gate, Rajghat and Shanti Vana, Drive past Red Fort, Parliament House and President House that represent the combination of tradition and modernity. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02 : Lucknow
Morning reach Delhi airport to board a flight for Lucknow. On arrival in Lucknow, leave for Sravasti, the seat of Buddhism. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03 : Lumbini
Arrive at Lumbini in the morning and check into the hotel. Afternoon city tour of Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04 : Kushinagar
Morning leave for Kushinagar, the place where Buddha attained salvation after breakfast. On arrival check into the hotel. In the afternoon visit Nirvana Temple and Ramabhar Stupa at Kushinagar. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05 : Rajgir - Vaishali
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning leave for Rajgir while visiting the ancient city Vaishali enroute. Arrive at Vaishali and check into the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06 : Nalanda - Bodhgaya
Morning visit Nalanda University and Gridhkut Mountain. In the afternoon leave for Bodhgaya. Reach Bodhgaya to board in the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 07 : Bodhgaya
Reach the city where Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment. In the afternoon visit Bodhgaya temple, one of the World Heritage Sites on the Banks of the Niranjana River. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08 : Varanasi
Leave for Varanasi in the morning. On arrival at Varanasi, one of the holy cities of India, get transferred to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 09 : Sarnath
Initiate your morning tour with boating on river Ganges. Visit Sarnath, the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Reach Sarnath airport to board a flight for New Delhi. From New Delhi board a flight way back home.
